About

The Due Diligence Dashboard is a non-profit tool developed by Wageningen Food Views: research programme of Wageningen University & Research that develops standardised research products and solutions. We help you explore sustainability hotspots and investment opportunities, and prepare and improve your long-term strategies.

The Due Diligence Dashboard and the underlying risk analysis methodology have been further developed and scaled up with the support of our partners: Port of Amsterdam, Olam Agri, Olam Food Ingredients, Syngenta, and the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH).

Sourcing risks in agri-food

In the agri-food industry, critical questions about sourcing and sustainability arise regularly. For instance, if you're importing palm oil from a particular region, you may need to assess potential human rights and environmental risks. Finding these answers is both costly and time-consuming. With the Due Diligence Dashboard, Wageningen Food Views offers a powerful solution.

Detailed data you've yet to discover

At Wageningen Food Views, we present instant, robust, and reliable subnational and sector-specific risk scores in easy-to-understand visual data. This empowers your organisation to efficiently evaluate risks and prioritise actions, ensuring ethical excellence and sustainability in your supply chain.

Tools & data

Currently, we provide a Due Diligence Dashboard that identifies and visualises risks of 8 human rights and 7 environmental risks themes. You can try the free dashboard without any obligation.

Incorporating risk scores into your ESG platform

Our risk scores can be incorporated into your (ESG) platform to prioritise sustainability hotspots in agricultural commodities and facilitate comprehensive assessments of sensitive agri value chains. For example, TRACT(externe link) features some of our human rights risk scores on their platform, highlighting the targeted applicability of our data.

Origins of the Due Diligence Dashboard

The idea for developing the Due Diligence Dashboard stems from Wageningen University & Research's decades of experience in sustainability research on agri commodities. Traditionally, our work involved in-depth studies. However, in recent years, there has been a growing demand from various organisations involved in global agro-commodity supply chains for a higher-level, comprehensive view of sustainability risks. This shift highlighted the need for a tool that not only delves deeply into specific contexts, but also provides an overarching overview to prioritise efforts effectively across multiple geographies and commodities.

Our ambition is to create a standardised approach to risk assessment, allowing all stakeholders - from companies to international non-profits - to communicate consistently about risks such as child labour. This alignment would ideally foster a unified understanding of sustainability challenges, making it easier to address them systematically, and more effectively.
